We’ve got all the longer mounting options covered easily, from the 150cm CF pole, to the 300cm NodalNinja Travel Pole, to the 600cm NodalNinja Series 2 pole, and even higher than that. But one of the more challenging distances is the short distance: 15-50cm, for example for car interiors or exteriors, on stage during a concert or similar situations.
We have extended the options for the short range a bit
The first option is what is wildly used with our customers so far, the short extension pole:
It has a short range of 15-24cm, with a practical range of 15-20cm.
The next option would be a custom build short carbon-fiber monopod:
This option covers 25-65cm, and offers a better vibration behavior. it allows to any length within the given parameters.
The next option would be the Manfrotto DADO system:
The DADO system consists of an alu mounting ball (all standard 3/8-16, spaced out every 45 deg), and 3-6 alu extension rods (each about 8cm long), allowing also for about 50cm range. The 3/8 can connect to the flat face of the super clamp, or any other 3/8, and it also connects to the standard light mount stud of the super clamp. The versatility comes from the alu ball, which allows mounting at 45 deg angles.
The last option would be using the stackable weights as support system:
This is the most rigid and solid mounting method, ideal for vertical mounting of LadyBug systems, and other rather heavy camera systems. Using the stackable weights horizontally add a lot of stress to the mounting points, and needs some consideration.
