Coatsink Software is in a unique position in the virtual reality (VR) scene right now. Few developers can claim to have shipped a VR videogame yet, but this UK-based studio has in fact already released two in Esper and its sequel, Esper 2. The team has plenty more on the way too, with a port of that original puzzle title for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) on the way, as well as a VR adaptation of Boneloaf’s ever-popular multiplayer brawler, Gang Beasts, in the works. Recently, VRFocus spoke with the company about the former of these two projects.

In the interview below Coatsink Software CEO Tom Beardsmore discusses the upcoming PC version of Esper. He talks about what’s improved in the update, and why it might warrant the developer charging a little more for it. He also talks about the studio’s future in VR, and where it plans to go from here.
