Sony Computer Entertainment’s (SCE’s) upcoming PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD) for PlayStation 4 featured prominently at its recent press conference in Korea. SCE’s The Playroom VR, was among the titles on display. The videogame is due to include a set of half a dozen mini-games in its collection, and for the conference SCE released a new teaser video for one of the mini-games, Cat N’ Mouse.

The Cat N’ Mouse mini-game has players control the series’ cutesy robots in the form of tiny mice that are hunted by a much larger robot cat. Similar to one of the other mini-games revealed, Monster Escape, the player with the PlayStation VR HMD controls the main character, in this case the cat who must capture the mice before they collect all the cheese. The mice are controlled by the other players using the DualShock controllers on the TV. The cat is behind a screen that only allows it to see silhouettes, when the player sees a mouse it can jump out to catch it. In turn the mice can hide in items to prevent themselves being caught, whilst they scurry around picking up all the cheese.

VRFocus will continue to follow The Playroom VR closely, reporting back with the latest updates on it.
