Samsung’s Gear VR head-mounted display (HMD) hasn’t featured much this week, news wise, at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2016. Most of it has centred around the big three HMD’s, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and PlayStation VR. But that isn’t going to stop the Oculus Store releasing new content and the latest to land is Captain Clark Adventures from NexeVR.

Captain Clark Adventures is a point-and-click style adventure videogame. As the official description describes it: “In this first episode, you embody Captain Clark, a ship captain in the 1800s, who has been attacked at sea by pirates. The ship’s crew has been decimated. Only the captain has been spared and has been taken prisoner on the pirates’ island. The pirates have gone back out to sea and the captain is now alone in a cage on the beach awaiting the pirates’ return. To survive, he will need to try to escape the island.”

The videogame first turned up at Oculus VR’s Mobile Virtual Reality (VR) Jam back in May 2015. It was revealed to be episodic back then but no further details have yet surfaced on how many episodes the series may contain.

The title can be downloaded from the Oculus Store for £5.99 GBP, and it doesn’t require an additional gamepad to play. VRFocus will continue its coverage of all the latest Gear VR releases, reporting back with each new addition.
