Last week VRFocus reported on the reveal of a new image of Project Sansar, the new virtual reality (VR) compatible experience from Second Life developer Linden Lab. The image showcased the surface of Mars as created by a player which can then be explored with friends. Today, another image has been revealed, showcasing a cinema resting in an unusual spot, which players will be able to explore with the Oculus Rift VR head-mounted display (HMD) when the title launches on PC later down the line.

The image below shows what looks to be a desert environment, possibly even the moon, which curiously features a cinema that users will be able to utilise. Notable is the shadows of the avatars, which Linden Lab itself has said showcases the realism that users will be able to achieve when building these environments.

It’s not year clear if Project Sansar could also end up supporting other HMDs such as the HTC Vive. A final release date for the consumer-ready build of the title is also yet to be set.

Stay tuned to VRFocus for the latest updates on Project Sansar.
