This is my first 3D video experiment, shot with a pair of Kodak Pixpro Sp360 4K, mounted on an XY stereo microphone mount.

Watch this video with a VR headset or cardboard, otherwise you see nothing more than a simple “almost-360° video”! 🙂

My basic idea was to replace the microphone screws with smaller screws for cameras to simulate the positions of human eyes. I felt a little bit uncertain about the fix distance as this microphone mount didn’t have adjustable width, but finally I like the result. Maybe it’s a little bit wider 3D than it’s usual, but maybe it provides more depth in the same time.

Kodak Pixpro 4K is almost have a 360° view with a small blind spot on the bottom. That’s why I usually use two of them, mounting these cameras’ back against each other. This time they was side-by-side, so, finally it’s not a full 360°3D video, but more than a simple a 3D video, allowing you to look around a little bit.
