This is first of a weekly (or bi-weekly if not much is happening!) news round up of the world of 360 cameras, 360 video and anything related to creating 360 content.
I’ll be updating you on new 360 cameras, new software, editing techniques ad announcements from tech companies.
This week saw the announcement of 3 new 360 cameras:
1. The VIRB360 – A 360 action cam from Garmin that is waterproof, can shoot 5.7K 360 video (unstitched) and featured advanced stabilization software.
Full specs and videos here: http://www.threesixtycameras.com/5k-garmin-virb-360-camera-waterpoof/
2. ION360 U – A 360 camera and charging case combined into a single device. It can shoot 4K video, livestream and charge your phone while being used.
More info here: http://www.threesixtycameras.com/ion360-u-4k-360-camera-smartphone-charging-case/
3. The “Essential” 360 Camera – Created by the guy who developed the android mobile operating system, the Essential 360 camera is an accessory to the modular Essential Phone. It will connect to the phone magnetically and will be the smallest 360 camera ever. Don’t let its size fool you though, as it will still be able to record full 360 video in 4K and even record 360 audio with 4 mics.
That’s it for my first 360 news update for this week! Please let me know if you have any questions, comments or feedback and I’ll be sure to get back to you. If you want to keep track of the latest 360 cameras then I suggest you subscribe, it would also be very cool of you to follow me on Instagram 🙂
